Home Improvement Officer
Our client is looking for an experience Home Improvement Officer to work on a temporary long term assignment to start immediately.
You will be required to:
Provide a home improvement service to qualifying grant applicants and to enable citizens to take responsibility for the improvement and maintenance of their own homes.
To improve private sector housing, and its environment, through repair or renewal schemes, to individual or group properties.
To enable service users to receive appropriate guidance, secure grant-aided improvements, disabled adaptations, and access to affordable loans.
To ensure compliance with relevant legislative and technical requirements.
To ensure work is carried out to specification; achieving agreed timescales and quality standards.
To operate within budget, and justify payments to contractors.
To operate within corporate and Departmental policies and systems.
To ensure the standards of Customer Service are achieved.
To be proactive in implementing the organisations policies and practices.
Knowledge and skills required:
Degree in building or BTEC Higher + 2 years practical experience
Previous experience to include formal contract supervision.
