Ace are currently recruiting for An experienced Manufacturing Business Analyst to work in the Leicester area.


Purpose of the Role:
-To develop, implement and provide accurate and timely cost & management accounting information.

-To pro-actively promote, facilitate and enhance the financial awareness of all employees, especially Managers.

-Maintain the integrity of financial systems and reports.

-Pro-actively work with other departments to reduce costs, improve productivity and streamline existing systems and processes.
Specific Duties:
1.To assist in the development, implementation & provide an effective cost & management accounting and information service which meets the needs of the business.

2.Be responsible for the Company’s costing system and continuously develop it to a world class standard.

3.Assist in the analysis and investigation of all variances to standard.  Communication of adverse variances to the operations team and development of action plans to rectify.

4.Development, implementation and preparation of departmental costs and recovery rates together with monthly comparisons to actual and explanation of variances.

5.To manage the inventory of stocks of raw materials, W.I.P. & finished goods including regular stock takes, perpetual inventory controls.

6.To manage manufacturing costing systems and report on manufacturing costs, comparing estimated, standard and actual costs to selling prices.

1.Assist with the preparation and submission of monthly accounts within two working days of the period end.

2.Assist with the preparation of year-end financial accounts information.

3.To Carry out SOX testing as required by the SOX Co-ordinator.

4.Assist management where necessary to analyse and justify new capital equipment, changes in working practices etc.

5.To continually strive to improve and simplify procedures and systems.

6.To work in a safe manner in order to satisfy Health & Safety Legislation and avoid accident or injury to people, machinery or property.

7.Wear safety equipment as specified by the Company rules.

8.Such other duties as may reasonably be required within your capability consistent with the Terms & Conditions of your employment.

What you will need:

-Professional qualifications preferred, exceptional QBE will be considered

-Enthusiastic & co-operative attitude.

-Ability to work as part of a team.

-Good communication skills, teamwork and leadership skills.

-Previous costing experience at an advanced level.

-Educated to a high standard preferably a degree in a relevant subject.
