Ace Appointments Midlands Ltd are recruiting for an experienced Transport Admin Assistant for a client based in Market Harborough.

 

This is temporary ongoing position offering a pay rate of £9.55.

 

Working Hours: 18.5 per week – Monday,Tuesday and half day Wednesday.

The successful candidate will provide administrative support to the Passenger Fleet Team within the Passenger Transport Unit.To contribute to achieving the aims and objectives of the Passenger Transport Service in accordance with Departmental Policy & Procedure and relevant Legislation, including the creation and development of appropriate IT and paper based systems.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • To gain an understanding of the drivers’ daily programmes and maintenance schedules and give support and assistance, where appropriate, to Departmental Drivers and Escorts.
  • To update and maintain databases, including the design and production of simple spreadsheets, identifying any problems/issues with data produced and extracting reports as necessary.
  • To produce a range of typed documents from a variety of sources involving the use various software packages in relation to service provision.
  • To take minutes of relevant meetings and produce written/typed notes as required.
  • To record and process orders and invoices relating to Passenger Fleet Contracts.
  • To comply with all quality management systems, quality procedures and working practices.
  • Respond and deal with internal and external telephone calls relating to general transport enquiries and requests in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Maintain office stationary stock.
  • To provide clerical assistance and support to senior team members, including, filing, typing, photocopying, etc., as required.
  • To receive and accurately convey messages to other team members.
  • To gain an understanding of the drivers’ daily programmes and maintenance schedules and give support and assistance, where appropriate, to Departmental Drivers and Escorts.
  • To organise and arrange meetings for senior team members.
    Such other duties, as may be required, commensurate with the grading of the post.
